Why my english remain suck?

I still don't know why my English remain suck in both writting and speaking. After 3 years of ambitious to mastering this language, all i can see is my performance remain static.

All tips suggested by friends, and online community already done. From read a newspaper, sing and listen an english songs, participate in english forums like lowyat.net and chip.com.my, none of it contribute to upgrade my level.

Verb, conjunction, preposition and even noun.. i really don't understand about it and how it function. I dont know whether i'm stupid or the language itself suck. Bahasa Malaysia grammar is a lot easier compared with english grammar. Why the community who create this language did not create it as easy as Bahasa Malaysia? I hate those Mat Salleh... they put me in a serious trouble.!

I should postpone the Mainstream English course a year more. I'm not yet prepared. I think i cannot score more then 3.00 on this subject. Well, it is my own mistake.

Recently i just finished downloading Microsoft Students 2006 software from http://www.piratebay.org and i found the software may help me to understand more about this language, at least at Basic level which i'm not even reach it right now.

Sometimes i'm jealous, why some people can write english properly, know how to compose sentences and make reader endeur to read more. For example this blog http://www.lindamunshi.blogspot.com i found through google. I love her writting style and i wish i can be like her.

Dear reader.. can you suggest where to find partner to talk in english? Chat room? On a street?....

I need help... HELP ME!!

don't give up, dude. keep on with the papers, books, songs, etc. etc. but most importantly, you got to write and speak the language most of, if not, all the time. while it does help to understand the "technicalities" of the language, i.e. grammar, sometimes, after you've gotten so used to the language from all the reading, writing, talking, singing, etc., you will know that a sentence is right or wrong just from the way it "sounds".

DON'T GIVE UP! all the best, chief! :)

Hi Izhar,

Yes, I do agree with you, your English needs working on.

Perhaps the best way to fix it is by speaking English with your friends/family. This is definitely a difficult thing to do, especially when your friends and family already speak with you in casual Bahasa Malaysia.

Oh, and I disagree with you. I've been speaking English since I was a kiddo and I've never had any troubles with grammar. On the contrary, I struggle with my Bahasa Malaysia.

So yeah... the best way is to speak English. I know this is possible, I have many Malay friends who converse in excellent English simply because they were brought up speaking dual languages (Both bahasa Malaysia and English were given equal priority).

Best of luck :)

Oh! I just remembered an old trick a close friend of mine used to do. While watching English movies/shows, try and narrate what each character is saying. Follow every word they say (would be great if you had english subtitles to read off) and try to understand what each phrase mean :)

I don't think writing a blog is going to improve your grasp on a language. You're going to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again, and the great likeliness of it all is that no one is going to nitpick over all your mistakes to help you see where you went wrong.

A by-product of a society that closes one eye to faults of one another? What you need is someone willing to help rewrite whatever you're gonna type, and note the differences.

That said, I can't imagine learning anything new unless someone is willing to be an asshole and correct every sentence you make.

I hope I didn't sound like a complete dick saying all that.

Membuat Borang Dengan Nombor Siri Yang Berturutan Menggunakan MS WORDS 2007

This is a cut and paste article from http://wordribbon.tips.net/T009540_Using_Sequential_Document_Serial_Numbers.html Using Sequential Document Serial Numbers by Allen Wyatt (last updated November 20, 2010) If you have a need to create serial numbers in your documents and they are very simple in nature, you can do so using a macro. This approach to serial numbers is great if your serial numbers are sequential (1, 2, 3, etc.) or regular in their incidence (3, 5, 7, etc.). To begin, you should enter the macro that will control the change of the serial number and the printing of your document. You can use the following macro: Sub MySerial() Dim rngSerialLocation As Range Dim intSerialNum As Integer Dim strSerialNum As String Dim docCurrent As Document Dim intNumCopies As Integer Dim intCount As Integer ' set ref to current active doc Set docCurrent = Application.ActiveDocument ' set ref to the bookmarked serial number Set rngSerialLocation =...

Khalwat? Pretty? and Tudung?

KOTA BARU: A 21-year-old university student was yesterday fined RM1,200 for committing khalwat (close proximity) with one of Kelantan’s imported football stars. Farrah Aina Safian Sauri, 21, from the International Islamic University (IIU), pleaded guilty to committing Source NSTP online : Uouch!... Unbelieveable.. how can a cute girl like this been cought for khalwat offence? By looking at her face and style, i though she at least an ordinary good girl. Pity her, why she need to do such act? It is true what people always said.. 'don't judge books by its cover', kekeke.. chances for cute girl like her to become 2nd hand stuff is quite high. That's why some of elders i met said a girl which not have pretty face, may be pretty at other hers other side, because no one will touch it. (But I don't agree with the quote 100%, because i once had saw unpretty girl who had unpretty attitude and may contribute for being 2nd hand stuff :p) I know girls with 'tudung' ...
